The first and only sustainability certified pool film on the market, ReNew is a high-performance, luxury PVC pool film made with 51% pre-consumer recycled content. In addition to preventing PVC scrap from entering the waste stream, Swimmingly designed ReNew to demonstrate that products made of recycled content can be beautiful, premium, and unlike other types of recycled
materials, be formulated for performance. ReNew material works to remain brilliant through the use of cutting-edge UV and anti-microbial additives, plus vigorous testing for weldability, chlorine and abrasion resistance.
ReNew features crisp, modern designs, created to reflect the beauty of nature and create a calm sense of peace in a homeowner’s backyard oasis. Just one yard of ReNew material repurposes up to 2LBS of PVC regrind scrap.
ReNew is the only pool film rigorously certified by SCS Global, a world-class leader in third-party certification, validation, and verification for environmental, sustainability, and quality performance.
At Swimmingly we care about the environment. When you install a ReNew pool liner in your pool, not only do you become a member of our extended ReNew family, you’ve become a key player in our commitment to sustainable practices. Second – Design – ReNew features artistic prints and patterns, in a stunning array of colors. Created by acclaimed artists, ReNew prints celebrate nature, water, and the astounding beauty of the outdoors.
Last but certainly not least – Sustainability – ReNew was launched to demonstrate that beautiful design and sustainability aren’t mutually exclusive. Each yard of ReNew material diverts approximately 2LBS of recycled PVC from the waste stream, giving you a swim you can truly feel good about.

Swimmingly pool film is designed to compliment your backyard oasis for years. Manufactured with high quality raw materials to exacting specifications, our goal is to make a product that is easy to keep beautiful. Regular water testing, proper chemical distribution, and cleaning are all key to taking care of your pool film. When opening and closing your pool, it is always best to seek out the support of a professional.
It’s critical to take care of the other parts of your pool as well – make sure your filter is functioning correctly as well as your circulation system, pool cleaner, and any other tools. Any parts and pipes connected to your pool should be free from rust or corrosion and updated as they age.
Ensuring balanced chlorine levels is key to maintaining the vibrancy of your pool liner material. You should always follow the chlorine manufacturer guidelines, as well as recommendations from your installer and pool caretaker. Free chlorine should be tested weekly or more, and we suggest keeping free chlorine levels between 1.0 and 1.62PPM. Remember, not all chlorine is created equal. Liquid chlorine should be avoided and we suggest following the recommendations of your local pool store for the appropriate chlorine brand for your pool. When using chlorine, you should always be sure to distribute it evenly throughout the pool and keep your circulation system on. You should never allow chlorine to settle or cling to the surface of the liner.
Proper pH levels are another key to keeping your liner vibrant. pH levels should be kept within a range of 7.2 to 7.6.
It is important to keep the water liner clean and free from build-up, but just as important to use the right tools to clean the surface. You can use a soft cloth or microfiber towel to wipe debris from the waterline. You should never use anything with firm bristles, brushes, or tools that might damage the protective top coat of the printed liner material.
For recommendations on the best automatic pool cleaners for vinyl pool liners, you should consult your local dealer or installer. Should you choose to invest in an automatic pool cleaner, you should make sure it is able to move freely, and doesn’t get caught or stuck in corners or steps.
At Swimmingly, we believe there is no such thing as a ‘silly’ or ‘bad’ question, and we think others may be wondering the same thing!
Some of our most frequently asked customer questions are below:
The main ingredient of a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser in the product is Melamine Resin Foam, which is very abrasive. When activated with water, the micro-scrubbers penetrate surface grooves virtually anywhere grime is trapped to remove stains. Our answer here isn’t a straightforward NO (like with gasoline and WD-40), but a bit more complicated. There are a few factors at play here: the stain itself, how much pressure is used, how long the area is scrubbed, the pool liner surface (smooth or embossed), and the age of the pool liner itself. When testing a small area with light pressure, minimal effect is seen on the pool liner. However, with high pressure and repetitive motion for long periods of time, the protective coating and print may be removed. To clean your Swimmingly material, we generally recommend a soft microfiber cloth or consulting your local pool dealer or installer.
Gasoline – is also called gas or petrol. It is mixture of volatile, flammable liquid hydrocarbons derived from petroleum and used as fuel for internal-combustion engines. It is very easy for gasoline to spill in the pool when it is used in the surrounding area. Remove the gasoline as QUICKLY as possible from the surface of the water to prevent it from reaching the pool liner. It will cause IMMEDIATE damage. It may dissolve any inks and coatings on the vinyl, along with the vinyl liner itself.
WD-40 – is very low-viscosity penetrating oil. It is a multi-use product with many functions. It lubricates, penetrates, protects, removes and displaces moisture. While its exact formula is a trade secret, it contains hydrocarbons, petroleum oil and carbon dioxide, similar to gasoline. Like gasoline, there is a good chance for WD-40 to be used around the pool area. Although WD-40 can be used to clean rust from metal parts,DO NOT use it to remove stains from pool liners. WD-40 will cause IMMEDIATE damage. It will dissolve any inks and coatings on the vinyl, along with the vinyl liner itself.
